Possible server down or lag

Well i've got a reply from the server admin (as in the hoster) and this is the reply..

What are you doing that is experiencing lag? We had a ddos attack today, but whether an attack happens in Fremont or Chicago if it is large enough you will feel lag until it is blocked.

So that could explain why it's been lagging recently and also..

yes, you can reboot at any time. but the "laggy" issues were related to an abusive customer with a 2GB swapfile, so rebooting will not do you any good.

Another reason why it's a bit laggy. Hope this will explain it~

I'm sorry everyone, on how this day turned out.
Hopefully things look up for tomorrow and the server host can fix this.

We both have already file complain about it in the hoster's billing helpdesk. None of us getting any reply yet.

OK Server status return back to normal. The lag has gone, think they probably heard our prayers. Not lagging for me in-game or starting the server. But still i'm switching the server to other location.

mmmm yea... possibly..... >.< Good Luck finding a good one!
